Internal Development Log – Asset Manager Clearance: Pending
Development on Doomsday Delivery Service is currently focused on one thing: locking down the core systems that everything else depends on.
Primary Focus Areas
- Main Menu & UI: The retro corporate interface is functional and acts as the foundation for the in-game operating system aesthetic.
- Employee Lifecycle: Spawning, tracking, death, and replacement systems are being refined to ensure clean transitions between “assets.”
- Respawn Flow: Tightening up the handoff between employee termination and new deployment.
- Item Handling: Pickup, drop, and delivery mechanics are being stabilized before adding more feedback and polish.
- Boot Sequence: Building a terminal-style startup that frames the experience as a system powering on.
This phase isn’t flashy, but it’s critical. Reliable systems now mean faster content creation later. Once these foundations are solid, development will accelerate into level design, enemy behavior, environmental storytelling, and more corporate absurdity.
The machine is assembling itself.
